The Uahi Ridge Development will provide a serene residential community for 154 low-income families on Kauai and is planned to begin construction in the middle of 2024. All of the units will be reserved as rentals for individuals and families with incomes at or below 60% AMI.

In partnership with Mark Development, Inc., the development team will construct eight (13) 12-plex residential buildings each consisting of three story stacked flats containing 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units. There will be ample on-site parking with EV charging stations, a playground, BBQ area, community room, and solar PV and will be surrounded by beautiful landscaping. Located on a vacant site of 6.53 acres in an underdeveloped area near Kukui Grove Center, the island’s largest shopping mall, Uahi Ridge will be a brand new affordable rental housing community within close proximity to several other community amenities. It is situated near several major employers and medical offices and Montessori preschool sits across the street. 

Project financing has been set in place with awards of both 4% & 9% LIHTC, HMMF Bonds, RHRF from HHFDC, as well as, Project Based Section 8 Vouchers from the County of Kauai. Construction will be completed by the end of 2025.
